Most women who book boudoir in Palm Beach County ask the same thing right after the date: where. Not which photographer. Which room. The room decides the light, the mood and how relaxed you are by minute ten. These are the four that work, from Wellington to the island, and how to pick one.
The short answer
Your house if you want it personal and easy. A hotel suite if you want a night away and total anonymity. A rental if your place doesn’t have the light. A barn only if the horses are yours. The session is the same everywhere: $450, 90 minutes, hair and makeup included. The room is the variable, and so is its bill: a suite or a rental is paid directly.
1. Your house
The most common choice in Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee. Houses out west are big: high ceilings, sliding doors, a primary bedroom with more floor than most hotel rooms.
- Best light: a bedroom with a big window facing east for a 9 am start, or west for a 3 or 5 pm start.
- What to prepare: clear the nightstands, white or neutral sheets, one chair you like. I bring the lights.
- What people forget: who else is home. Pick a time when the house is empty.

2. A hotel suite in West Palm Beach or on the island
Twenty-five minutes east of Wellington. White sheets, a long mirror, a tub, zero dishes to hide. Downtown West Palm around Clematis Street and the towers on Flagler Drive give you glass and height; the island is quieter and more discreet.
- How it works: you book one night, we shoot the first two hours after check-in, the rest of the night is yours.
- Choosing the room: high floor, a corner if possible, windows that don’t face the next building. A balcony nobody overlooks is a bonus.
- Permission: I confirm in writing that the property allows photography before your date.

3. A rental
When home is not an option — kids, roommates, someone who can’t know — a rental works. Look for big windows, white walls, a freestanding tub, a bed with space on both sides. Airbnb requires the host’s permission for photography, so that gets confirmed with the host before you book.
4. The barn
Wellington is horse country. From January to March the show season fills the village, and some of the best light in the county sits in a tack room at 5 pm: dust in the air, leather, one window. A riding jacket, boots, lace underneath. It works only on private land — your farm or a friend’s — never on a public show ground.
What to bring, room by room
- At home: three looks laid out on the bed before hair and makeup starts, heels even if you never wear them indoors, and one piece that belongs to someone else — his shirt, his jersey.
- In a suite: the same three looks in a garment bag, a robe for between changes, and nothing you’d mind leaving in the room for two hours.
- In a rental: a spare set of white sheets. Rental linens are rarely the ones in the listing photos.
- In the barn: boots you can actually walk in, a jacket with structure, and a towel to sit on.

Timing by season
January to March is season in Wellington: the horse show, visitors, full restaurants and fuller calendars. Book those months a few weeks out. February 14 compresses everything — a Valentine’s gift needs a session by late January, because the gallery takes 2–3 weeks. Summer is the opposite: open dates, long evenings, and hotel suites on the island cost less. For a wedding, plan the session 6–8 weeks before the date.

Can we shoot in two rooms?
Yes. Ninety minutes is enough for two rooms of the same house or suite, usually the bedroom and the bathroom.
Who books the hotel?
You do, directly with the hotel. I help you choose the suite and confirm that photos are allowed.
What if it rains?
Nothing changes. Boudoir is shot indoors and I bring the light.
Can someone come with me?
Yes. A friend or your partner is welcome, and you can pause whenever you want.
