On the water · Miami · Fort Lauderdale · Palm Beach
Felipe Restrepo is a yacht photographer in Miami: I come aboard your boat or your charter and shoot swimwear, fashion, birthdays and content on the water, from Miami and Fort Lauderdale up to Palm Beach. You bring the yacht, I bring the camera, the direction and the plan for the light. Every shoot is quoted by time on board, number of people and looks, and the quote comes the same day.
A boat is the best set in South Florida and the hardest one to shoot: it moves, the sun bounces off white fiberglass and there is nowhere to hide. The pictures on this page were made on the bow of a yacht in Miami. That is the look.
I.
Who books a yacht shoot
Swimwear and fashion. Models, creators and labels that want open water behind the look.
Birthdays and girls’ trips. A few hours on a charter, photographed properly instead of on phones.
The good hours are the first after sunrise and the last before sunset. Low sun from the side gives skin color and keeps the deck from blowing out white. At midday everything is hard and squinting. If your charter is in the middle of the day, I work the shade of the hardtop and the cabin and save the bow for the end.
Tell me the departure time and the route when you ask for the quote. I plan the looks around where the sun will be at each stop.

The yacht is yours to book
I do not rent or provide the boat. You book and pay the charter directly, or it is your own. Before the date, ask the captain or the charter company whether a photographer is allowed on board and whether I count as a passenger; I confirm that with you in writing before we lock the shoot.

What to bring on board
Two to four looks: swimwear, a white shirt or linen layer, one dressed-up piece for the last light
A hat and sunglasses
Bare feet or boat-safe soles: heels only if the captain agrees
Hair ties and pins. There is always wind
Sunscreen that is not shiny, and a towel
V.

VI. — Before you book
4 questions.
How much does a yacht photographer in Miami cost?
It is quoted by scope: hours on board, number of people photographed, number of looks and how the images will be used. A birthday group and a swimwear campaign are different jobs. Send me those details and the charter time through the contact form and you get a quote the same day.
Do you provide the yacht?
No. You bring the boat: your own, a friend’s or a charter you book and pay directly. I come aboard as the photographer. Before booking, check with the captain or the charter company that a photographer is allowed and whether I count toward the passenger limit.
What is the best time for photos on a boat?
The last hour before sunset, and second to that the first hour after sunrise. The sun is low, the light comes from the side and the water has color. Midday works only in the shade of the hardtop or inside the cabin, so plan the charter to end at sunset if you can.
Can you shoot a group?
Yes. Tell me how many people will be photographed and whether you want group frames only or individual portraits too, because that changes the time needed. For bachelorettes and birthday groups I plan a short list of setups so nobody spends the whole trip posing.

You bring the yacht.
Send the date, the departure time, how many people and how many looks. Quote the same day.
